| Ashtanga yoga entered my life in 2005, and since then, I have watched inflexibility and dullness blossom into awareness and strength. Practicing and studying this ancient tradition has made each day an opportunity to watch the inner journey unfold. The spiritual traditions of India have had an enormous impact on my life and outlook, and yoga has offered me a way to integrate these truths into my life.
I recently finished five weeks teacher training at Yoga Thailand, and had the opportunity to study with Paul Dallaghan, Harmony Slater and Jeff Lichty. While in Thailand, I was blessed to take part in a two-week pranayama retreat with Sri O.P. Tiwari , a true master and inspiring presence. More recently I completed a teacher’s adjustment workshop with Mark Darby.

Witnessing the changes which have taken place within myself, I can truly say that commitment to the traditional method of Ashtanga yoga has a transformative effect on those who commit to it. I find myself continually graced by the presence of such powerful and positive individuals and opportunities in my life. In a lot of ways, it feels like yoga has chosen me, because the growth has been so organic and natural.
I am currently finishing off my degree in Philosophy from the U of C, and hope to be in India in November 2006 to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath.
I love vegetarian food, my guitar and traveling.
