After my first class, I knew yoga would be a big part of my life. Experiencing a deep connection of my own body, mind and spirit, I found myself back at the studio the following day. I continued attending classes regularly, but it was what began to change off of my mat, that I am most grateful for. I felt my heart open and my fear begin to dissolve. Yoga began to transform my life - a process that continues to this day. My physical yoga practice has definitely changed in the past few years, through pregnancy and motherhood. I find yoga (union) in rare moments of silence and stillness, or being present, aware, and loving when I’m with my kids.
I have been blessed to have so many inspirational people in my life. Most recently, I have been studying with the amazing Martin and Jordan Kirk. I love to the life-affirming philosophy of Anusara yoga – the concept that every one of us is divine and beautiful. My two greatest teachers are my preschoolers, Bennett and Jayda. They burst my heart open with love, joy, and laughter, every day. Every time I learn something new, I am reminded how endless the path of yoga truly is. I will always be a student first. My hope, through teaching, is to share the gifts of awareness, strength, compassion, and freedom that yoga has given me.
