I began practicing Ashtanga yoga about fours years ago as a way to find a sense of community here in Calgary. Coming from out of province and moving to a new city, this was important to me. In my years of practice, I have not only found a sense of community, I have also experienced the physical and emotional benefits that yoga can bring. Yoga has and continues to remind me to breathe and stay balanced through the ups and downs of life.
In teaching yoga, my goal is to create this sense of community for my students as well as encourage them to discover the calmness that yoga can bring to their lives.
