A typical class will start with a basic breathing exercise to help relax the body and calm the mind. This is also intended to focus their attention and prepare for the class. For the younger kids we will use story telling to move through different animal poses. Children are encouraged to use different speech sounds as they mimic each different animal. Each class ends with a breathing exercise and a resting pose to encourage relaxation.
Along with the physical benefits of these classes, children are encouraged to follow directions, take turns and make decisions.
