Your nervous system’s primary job is to keep you safe. It does this through pain, language, movement, hunger, thirst and countless other ways. In this 4 week course you will learn to begin to re-invent your relationship with your body. We will talk about pain science and the physical, mental and emotional aspects of what is commonly referred to as fight, flight and freeze in order to learn new ways to move your body that challenge some of these ingrained movement patterns. You will learn to map out a route to strength, flexibility and ease that is personal to you. At the end of the 4 weeks you will come away with several movement videos, along with 3 live practices that will be recorded to add to your movement library.
September 7: Introduction to the course and a chat about polyvagal theory,
pain science and biomechanics.
Video series release: Module One: Lighten Your Step: Foot/ankle/tibia movement and knee function.
September 14: Full practice bringing together the movements from Module One.
Video series release: Module Two: Nourishing Breath: Hip, Low Back and Ribcage function.
September 21: Full practice bringing together the movements from Module Two.
Video series release Module 3: Release Your Neck and Shoulders: Hands to head and everything in between.
September 28: Full practice bringing together the movements from Module Three and wrap up.
